Brooksby Hall apparition: Ghost or not?

This photo was recently featured in a news story and was taken as Brooksby Hall in Leicester, a building that has a reputation for being haunted. According to the article, "this picture was taken outside the hall by a gobsmacked Melton woman who went on one of last month's Ghosts and Ghouls tours. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said she could clearly see the face of man and a dog in this mysterious image."

This type of photo anomaly is often referred to as "ecto" or "ectoplasm" by ghost hunters. Some believe it is genuine evidence of a ghost, while others think it is fog, breath vapor or even cigarette smoke illuminated by the camera flash. What do you think?

Wailing in the Woods

"My two friends and I decided to go hiking and camping in a dense wood near my friend Josh's house," reports Kenna. "As we were driving on an old dirt lane to get to the trail, we stopped at an old gas station. As Josh and Jason were fueling up, I wandered into the store part to grab some munchies. An elderly woman at the counter eyed me suspiciously and asked where we were headed. I told her there was a trail back in the woods where there were supposedly ancient-looking pyramid-type buildings made out of stone. The old woman narrowed her eyes at me and shook her head and her next woods chilled me to the bone: 'There's no reason for anybody to go back there!'...." Maybe Kenna and her friends should have listened to the old crone because, well... read the rest of the story.

The Ouija Debate

There's an ongoing debate about the powers and realities of the Ouija board. Essentially, there are three basic positions:
• It is inherently dangerous, can open portals to evil entities and should never be used.
• It is only dangerous if used with evil intent, but can be a useful tool for spirit mediumship if used properly and with good intent.
• It is inherently harmless and has no real powers of mediumship for good or evil; its effects, if any, are only psychological in nature.
